It is important to acknowledge that a person's gender identity may differ from the sex they were assigned at birth, and this can lead them to identify as trans. This can include binary trans individuals, nonbinary individuals, and those who are gender non-conforming and trans. Transphobia arises from a refusal to accept trans individuals and their identity as real and valid. Transgender Day of Visibility is an annual event celebrated worldwide on March 31st to bring awareness to the accomplishments and challenges faced by transgender people. As organisations strive to foster inclusive work environments, it is important to understand the challenges faced by transgender employees and implement policies to support their well-being.
