Joanne Lockwood appointed as an “Advisory Friend” of the IEDP
It was an honour and a pleasure for Joanne to be invited to become an advisory friend of the Institute of Equality and Diversity Professionals.
Advisory Friend – Joanne Lockwood
The purpose of this role is to;
- strengthen the expertise upon which the board can draw
- provide more information for our members
- encourage professional discussion and debate around relevant topics
- publicise the work of other individuals and organisations
Advisory Friends support the work of the Institute in ways that are appropriate to their expertise and circumstances. This could including:
- advising the board
- answering queries from members
- providing items for the newsletter e.g. brief articles, podcasts
- adding material to the Members Area of the website e.g. longer articles
- engaging with our Facebook and LinkedIn groups
- contributing to events
- contributing to our response to national consultations
- extending networks and links with other organisations
