Joanne Lockwood appointed as an “Advisory Friend” of the IEDP

It was an honour and a pleasure for Joanne to be invited to become an advisory friend of the Institute of Equality and Diversity Professionals.

Advisory Friend – Joanne Lockwood

The purpose of this role is to;

  • strengthen the expertise upon which the board can draw
  • provide more information for our members
  • encourage professional discussion and debate around relevant topics
  • publicise the work of other individuals and organisations

Advisory Friends support the work of the Institute in ways that are appropriate to their expertise and circumstances. This could including:

  • advising the board
  • answering queries from members
  • providing items for the newsletter e.g. brief articles, podcasts
  • adding material to the Members Area of the website e.g. longer articles
  • engaging with our Facebook and LinkedIn groups
  • contributing to events
  • contributing to our response to national consultations
  • extending networks and links with other organisations
